“Coffee Table Books Live,” a new meet-the-author series of events hosted by the South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) and the South Pasadena Public Library, launches October 12, 2022, at 7:00 pm in the Library Community Room.

A presentation by noted A-list session bassist Leland Sklar, author of “Everybody Loves Me,” will feature photos from his road tours and was inspired by his long career playing on hits by David Bowie, Ray Charles, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Hall & Oates, Jackson Brown, BB King, The Doors, and many other rock, R&B, and country music greats, in addition to his work in television and motion pictures.
Sklar will share some of the stories behind his book, followed by a short musical demonstration, a Q&A, and book signing. (“Everybody Loves Me” will be available for purchase at the event.)
Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library.
