Pasadena Unified Superintendent Elizabeth Blanco released a statement to the community regarding the school shooting in Georgia.

The school shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia that took the lives of two students and two teachers and injured others is devastating. Our hearts go out to the victims, families, and communities impacted by this senseless tragedy.
We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priority, and we take all potential threats seriously.
We are committed not only to preventing such tragedies but also to providing intervention, support, and services for students who may be struggling. Our district works closely with law enforcement to investigate and address any potential threats.
Incidents of gun violence can affect both children and adults. We encourage you to connect with mental health and other supportive resources on your campus and seek help as needed.
The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) has also gathered multiple resources to provide educators and parents support in talking to students about gun violence, their safety, and their feelings. There are also resources to support adults who are experiencing emotional distress.”
