Theatergoers of all ages are invited to experience a lively reimagining of one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies as the Sierra Madre Playhouse presents a special 45-minute adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Produced by Will & Company, the streamlined performance offers a vibrant and engaging take on the classic tale, blending visual flair with interactive storytelling. Designed to appeal to both children and adults, the production brings audiences into a magical forest near ancient Athens, where love, mischief, and enchantment collide.
The story follows four characters who become lost in a mystical woodland, only to encounter the mischievous sprite Puck. As romantic entanglements spiral into comedic chaos, the tale ultimately resolves in a joyful triple wedding. Audience participation is woven throughout the performance, adding to the immersive and playful atmosphere.
Will & Company, a multicultural theater ensemble, has earned widespread recognition for its innovative adaptations of classic literature and its original works addressing diversity and social justice themes. The group has received a Professional Designation in Arts Education from the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, as well as the State of California’s Excellence in Theatre award. Among its accolades are two NAACP Awards and a nomination for a GLAAD Award.
