On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at approximately 2:58 pm, Pasadena Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Parke Street regarding a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located three victims in the northeast portion of Villa Parke, adjacent to the soccer field. One victim was deceased at the scene while two other victims were in critical condition and were rushed to a local hospital by Pasadena Paramedics. One of the transported victims succumbed to his injuries after arriving at the hospital and the third victim continues to recover. All three victims were struck by gunfire.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victims were at a park bench in the northeast portion of the park when the suspect(s) fired upon them and fled in a vehicle, described as a dark colored sedan.
Detectives’ investigation led to the identification of one suspect, and on Thursday, May 20, 2021, members of Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Unit along with members of the U.S. Marshal’s Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, executed search warrants at various locations in the Southern California area. Christopher Paul Hall was arrested, and additional items of evidentiary value were located during the search. The motive of this shooting remains unknown.
Multiple criminal charges
On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Pasadena Homicide Detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for review, resulting in filing of multiple criminal charges. 21-year-old Pasadena resident Christopher Paul Hall was charged with two counts murder and one count of attempted murder. Mr. Hall’s bail amount was set at $5,155,000.
