It will be a chilly (SoCal standard) 2024 Rose Parade in Pasadena with a chance of light showers, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

The National Weather Service predicts the weather on Sunday night to be low 40’s (around 44). Calm wind becoming north northeast around 5 mph.
Rose Parade Day
The weather on Parade Day, New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024, is predicted to be mostly sunny, with a high near 63. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Whether it sprinkles or it gets sunny, float decorators are working against the clock to finish the floats.

Overnight Camping
If you’re planning for overnight camping on the famous Colorado Boulevard, it is wise to bring a warm jacket, heavy blankets, and a pillow. Do not underestimate sleeping on the boulevard as it will get cold; colder than sleeping in an enclosed environment (as in your bedroom.) Dress up in layers and have some warm fluids handy.
Day of the Parade
- Wear comfortable shoes.
- Bring a seat cushion (those bleachers will be really cold early morning).
- Wear layers. It will be chilly when the parade starts, and it will gradually warm up.
- Bring coffee or tea, water and snacks.
