      Pasadena Chalk Festival is back on Father’s Day weekend, and we have the full schedule for you.

      Over 600 dedicated and talented chalk artists from Southern California and beyond are expected to come together at the Paseo Colorado to showcase their talents and art form.

      The main attractions for both days will be:

      1- Animation Alley

      Watch artists create amazing animation with chalk. Lower theatre near Starbucks and Upper Theatre near Cold Stone Creamery.

      2- Chalk of Fame

      Presenting murals that represent tv and film. Upper theatre near ArcLight.

      3- Kids Chalkland

      12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Kids can create Father’s Day cards for dad. Plus free face painting with donation. Sat & Sun at Euclid Court (near Happy Nails).

      4- Main Stage Music

      In addition to watching artists at work, you can enjoy live music throughout the weekend.

      Saturday

      • 10:00am to 12:00pm: School of Rock Pasadena (Pop/Rock)
      • 2:00pm to 4:00pm: Tony Gilkyson with Sarah Kramer, Bobby Tsukamoto and David Derge (Alternative Country)
      • 4:30pm to 6:30pm: Sharron Moore Featuring the Villains (Blues)

      Sunday

      • 10:00am to 12:00pm: Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra (Classical)
      • 2:00pm to 4:00pm: Carbe and Durand (Spanish Guitar Duo)
      • 4:30pm to 6:30pm: Junkshop Republic (New Orleans, Blues, Rock N Roll, Zydeco, Gypsy Horns And Tribal Beat)

      5- Silent Auction at the Art Gallery

      Make sure to visit the Silent Auction and bid on chalk artists’ original work on canvases in the Art Gallery, located in Garfield Promenade (all proceeds will benefit Light Bringer Project).

      6- People’s Choice Award

      Vote for your favorite mural at the Info booth in Garfield Promenade Saturday & Sunday.

      (5:00 pm: Ballots are collected and tallied).

      7- Awards Ceremony

      Sunday at 7:00 pm: Main Stage. Awards include:

      • People’s Choice
      • Best in Animation Alley
      • Best Use of Color
      • Best in Festival, and more!

      BONUS- Pasadena Police Father’s Day Classic Car Show

      10:00 am – 3:00 pm: Pasadena Police Classic Car Show on Green St. between Los Robles and Marengo.

      The show will feature classic and fun cars and if we’re lucky, and the Pasadena Police helicopter will make an appearance if we’re lucky and the weather cooperates!

      Note:
      Green Street will be closed to traffic on Sunday from 7:00am until 3:00pm: for the Classic Car Show.

      Parking is available in the parking garage with entrances on Colorado Blvd or Green Street.

      • If you don’t mind walking you can park on adjacent streets. Some adjacent streets are exempt from the 2-hour parking restrictions, be proactive and read the signs.
